Managing Director Jeroen Hesp
is a graduate in Engineering from the Utrecht University of Professional Education. Responsible for both the day-to-day running and developing the long-term business plan, Jeroen provides a dependable and experienced pair of hands to steer the company in the right direction. His determination to get the best people and processes in place ensures smooth operation and precise and transparent communication between all parties.
Production Manager Mirjam Kolkman is a graduate in translation and interpreting of the Maastricht School of International Communication. Subsequently she obtained a Master’s degree in Slavic Languages and Cultures in Groningen. An experienced project manager and talented linguist, Mirjam speaks Dutch, English, Russian and French. She makes sure the very best specialists are working together to deliver high quality translations on time and within budget.
Resource Manager Justyna Śliwka is responsible for the selection of highly qualified translators and for recruitment of the in-house personnel. She obtained a Master’s degree in Slavic Languages and Cultures in Groningen. Justyna has built up an extensive network of interpreters, translators, revisers, proofreaders, journalistic rewriters and other specialists throughout the whole of Europe. This strong team enables us to meet the varied and challenging requests of our clients.
Project Manager Ewa Posecka is also President of Translavic Polska Sp. z o.o., established in 2008. A graduate in Dutch Philology from the University of Wrocław in Poland, Ewa has lived in the USA, the UK and the Netherlands and has worked for market leaders in the translation industry. Her valuable experience has taught her that long-standing business relationships are only successful if you exceed the expectations of the client. She takes pride in quality control, working closely with our customers to achieve their demands to exacting standards.
In-house translator and reviser Anna Kosińska is Polish. She graduated in English Linguistics from the University of Wrocław and in postgraduate Translation Studies from the same university. Anna is currently studying Specialised Translation and Computer Tools. Since 2004 she has worked as a translator and interpreter for major companies at home and abroad and has also translated a number of books for a publishing company. Anna speaks Polish, English and German.
Project Manager Orsolya Farkas is from Hungary and obtained her PhD in Linguistics from the University of Debrecen. Forsaking her job as assistant professor at the university, she decided to move to the Netherlands to strengthen the Translavic team. As well as project coordination, Orsolya supports the resource manager with screening procedures and updating the translator database. She speaks Hungarian, English, German, Dutch and Russian and has more than ten years of experience as a translator.
Project Manager Marta Karaffyová
is native Slovak and a graduate from the Comenius University of Bratislava where she studied Translation and Interpretation focusing on Dutch and German. Marta manages her team of freelance translators through all phases of the project and follows internal quality control procedures to make certain that translations are correct and complete. She speaks Slovak, Czech, German, Dutch and English.
Project manager and reviser Dorota Szaszko from Poland is a postgraduate in Translation Studies from the University of Wrocław. Previously she graduated in Environmental Protection at Wrocław University of Technology, and in Environmental Technology and Management at De Montfort University in the UK. Since 2006 she has gained valuable experience as a freelance translator, specialising in technical translations. Dorota joined Translavic as an in-house translator in 2008 and became a member of the project management team the following year. She speaks Polish, English and French.
Freelance Project Manager and translator Petr Štádler is from the Czech Republic. A graduate in English and American Studies from the Charles University in Prague, he previously worked in the Czech Translation Unit at the European Parliament and brings valuable experience. His perfect command of the Czech language is an important asset in the quality assurance process. He also speaks English, French, German and Slovak.
Project Manager Iryna Nikolayeva is from Ukraine. She studied Translation and Interpretation in Kyiv and gained her MA in English, German and Foreign Literature in Rivne. Previously an account manager for a Dutch company based in Poland, Iryna joined us to apply her considerable language and management skills to project coordination at Translavic. She has more than 5 years of experience as a translator and speaks Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, English and German. She is currently learning Dutch.
Polish born in-house translator and reviser Piotr Iciek graduated in English Philology from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. He also completed postgraduate Translation Studies at the University of Wrocław. Having worked as a translator since 2006, at present Piotr is also studying Economics at the University of Wrocław. Piotr speaks Polish, English and German and specialises in software localisation.
Project Manager Michalis Czatyris comes from Poland and has an MA in Slavic Philology from the University of Gdańsk. He also gained an MA in Bilingual Translation from the University of Westminster in London. His previous jobs at a news agency and as a freelance translator have allowed him to make extensive use of his linguistic skills and develop his expertise. Michalis has a genuine passion for languages, particularly for translation, and apart from his native language Polish, he speaks English, Croatian and Serbian.
